March 24 Daily Progress - New Signal UI and Lighting Tweaks


When I make progress on the game, I'll make short little posts here (hopefully with screenshots!) to let you know.

Today I did a few things I'd been meaning to get around to for a while. One of them was changing the signal UI on the phone to be vertical instead of horizontal.

I'm also experimenting a bit with the lighting, in hopes of doing some spooky lighting effects. For a while I'd been using baked lighting, but it looks like realtime lighting might have a better atmospheric "look" in addition to being modifiable at runtime (so I can do things like make lights flicker).
