Cornhole VR
A downloadable game for Android
About this Game
It's the classic outdoor game, Cornhole... but in VR!
Compatibility
The game works on my Meta Quest 2. That's basically all I can say with certainty.
How to Play
First, select a distance from your area (the "pitcher's box") to the cornhole board, then press Play. The default distance is 8.22 meters, or about 27 feet, the regulation distance according to the American Cornhole Association (yes that is a thing that exists I did not make that up. there is an American Cornhole Association.)
Once you press Play, a bean bag will start hovering around your right hand. Use the grips on the VR controllers to pick it up and then toss it to the board. The point breakdown is:
- 0 points for landing on the ground
- 1 point for landing on the board
- 3 points for landing in the hole
You have 8 bags to throw. Once you have thrown all 8 bags, the game will end. You can restart by pressing the "Quit Session" button under your score - that will bring the main menu back up.
Why Did I Make This Game
I wanted to learn about the process of developing a VR game, and this seemed like the simplest yet most interesting concept I could think of. It turned out even getting this done was quite the trick!
